HENRY LAWSON THEATRE

IN THE COMMUNITY - FOR THE COMMUNITY

Opens July 2018

Do you remember what your first kiss was like? Those seconds that seemed to tick away like hours right before, and you were hyper aware of their every movement- even their breathing! .... Or are you still waiting for your first kiss? Building up the fantasy of what it might be like in anticipation?

If there is one thing Gillian knows for sure about first kisses, it's that they don't always turn out how you want them to, especially if you are a dag with constant chocolate cravings,  trying to survive high school.

Gillian narrates the audience through first crushes, first kisses, and first times your best friend dumps you for a guy in this quirky, yet touching (but sometimes melodramatic) coming of age story.

‘Dags is a celebration of survival,  a triumph to self-reliance and self-respect.  It is scalding about life's bullies and affectionate about its ‘dags’.  It is, a slice of life that cuts deep.’
